Knowsley Flower Show Sunday 5th August 11am-5pm
At the height of the summer take some quality time out now and reward yourself with a day out at Knowsley Flower Show. This years show has been classed as the largest FREE horticultural show of its kind in the North West, attracting up to 18,000 people. Immerse yourself in the full-on sensory experience of the most welcoming and relaxed show of the summer.
The whole event is hosted in the grounds of Court Hey Park, home of the National Wildflower Centre. Parking can be quite a problem with the numbers expected this year so the powers that be have provided FREE shuttle buses to the show, operating in Kirby, Huyton, Whiston and Prescot.
As well as the giant floral marquee, which is always a blaze of colour and houses over 400 exhibits, there is a fantastic line-up of entertainment and attractions on offer including; falconry displays, guided walks, a traditional forest woodworker, and craft skills.
A large craft marquee will feature in the show along with many trade stands ranging from garden centres to conservatories.
The show also includes, a childrens fairground, the Youth Arts Friendship field with live music, dance and activities including jewellery making and samba drumming.
Also, featuring this year is a Gardener’s Question time where you can seek gardenng tips and a large Farmers Market. Something for all I hope, and if the weather shows its ugly face there is a full range of indoor/covered areas to explore. So, for ideas and inspiration, meeting down to earth experts with entertainment all day this is more than flowers.
