Family Festival Fun!
The fifth annual Festival of Health and Activity takes place from 10.30am to 4.30pm on Sunday 3rd June at Lifestyles Tennis Centre in Wavertree and is packed full of activities which will not only keep you entertained but will also get you thinking about taking up a healthier lifestyle.
This was one of the first big events of 2010 marking the year of Health and Wellbeing and 2012′s event promises to be bigger and better; a fun festival for the whole family involving over 70 health and activity organisations who have signed up to exhibit on the day to promote their service in an interactive way, encouraging families to take up healthier lifestyles and to become generally more active.
It really is a unique multi-agency event with private, voluntary and public sector organisations coming together to provide a range of demonstrations and exhibitions geared towards increasing awareness of health and physical activity opportunities in Liverpool.
Families can try out a whole range of free activities such as waterballs, bungee trampolines and sports from football and rugby, right through to handball and golf. The city council’s sports development team will also be on hand to give advice on how to keep fit and have fun at the same time.
