Saturday in the City.
Town to us Scousers. Another busy weekend at the 08 Place, Whitechapel were I volunteer meeting and greeting our visitors to our city. Lots of people about today ,the good weather brings every one out and of course Derby football match! With all the men at Anfield I was busy directing the Ladies to Liverpool One and the families to the museums, Albert Dock and The Waterfront. I took time out to go to the Bluecoat to see what was on offer . there is always some thing on there. Today I listened to some great singing in the front courtyard . Mersey Harmony. Liverpool Ladies Barbershop singers gave a great performance medley from the 40’s (Andrew Sisters Style also Beatles songs Yesterday and Little Help from my Friends , great arrangements, and finished to the delight of the audience with You’ll Never Walk Alone. The ladies gave their usual perfect performance I love their enthusiasm! www.merseyharmony.co.k for more details. Also singing their heart out for the crowds The Hope Street Harmonies ,under the direction of musical director Claire Jones they gave a fabulous Madonna medley . Another lovely afternoon at the Bluecoat its good to see visitors enjoying the Liverpool ‘sound’ of a different kind. I enjoy my weekends in town. www.hopestreetharmonies.co.uk for more info.
