Made up with how it went last night.
All the acts were fantastic and there was a lovely atmosphere. The audience were really great and the girls all said that they’d enjoyed doing it. It went a bit pear-shaped when I realised we had no raffle tickets or prizes (fantastic organisational skills there), but Pauline glossed over it with some humour and props to my boyfriend for going off the supermarket at intermission in search of wine to give away! What a dude.
18 year old Hannah Platt went on first-she looked a bit like a deer in the headlights at first but the audience were great and she made me laugh a whole lot. In fact, the audience seemed to be positively wetting themselves at everyone’s performance.
We raised a fair wedge for the Lily Centre who were grateful so that was also very nice.
Not sure what to do with myself now that its all over, but I do know that I intend to remain in my dressing gown until the early afternoon, Arthur Dent style. Feels great to have a week where I don’t actually have to do anything-hurray!
I’d do it again though for sure!
