Cruise Liner Visits to Liverpool

Had a great couple of days this week playing uke for the passengers of the Crown Princess and the Rotterdam, liners visiting our fair city this weekend.

Despite the cold and overcast weather we were able to give the passengers a sunny welcome. Lots of smiling faces as they disembarked from the ship for quick trip around the city of Liverpool and surrounding area.

These visits are a real boost to the local economy and further help to promote the image of our city. There are 15 visits this year and I am sure this could be at least trebled, particularly if we can develop the terminal as a turnaround facility and not just a stop off destination.

Lookong forward to the visit of the Cunard liner Queen Elizabeth later this year! Let’s hope the weather is sunny!
