Champion gets Easter treat early!

I’ve never missed an opportunity to see live entertainment and the thrill of a circus when it’s in town. Growing up in Toxteth always gave me the advantage of being close to the gem of all recreational places, Sefton Park. It was host to the many big circus names of the past such as Chipperfields, Billy Smarts, Fossetts and later Gandeys and Starr Circus. Now, the big national name brands have hit the scene with their National or State ownership new wave name. Yes, the Moscow State circus and the Chinese State circus give exquisite dynamic death defying performances to Liverpool audiences and the Spirit of the Horse sadly is now confined to the London circuit arena, after surprisingly sell out performances at Aintree Racecourse and has never returned.

I was excited at the return of the acclaimed Netherlands National Circus at Kings Parade New Brighton and raced to get tickets for what I knew would be a fantastic afternoon and a countdown to the Easter vacation. I wasn’t disappointed and was treated to a dazzling combination of theater, music and dance. There is always a packed audience at the big top here “back by popular demand” comments the ringmaster as the live orchestra takes the beat for this two hour show with a sensational mix of acrobats, comedy, juggling, illusion and aerial feats. The flying trapeze act was nerve splitting, clown a knockout but I don’t want to spoil you from your Easter treat so book now for the Sefton Park performances from Thursday 5th April to 15th April… will not be disappointed, it’s one of the best entertainments around this Easter for all the family.
