Fancy a free book? World Book Night 2012

World Book Night was launched on 23 April 2012 and a million books have been given away so that people can share a love of reading.  As part of this, I’ve been given The Secret Dreamworld of a Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella.

One of World Book Night’s aims is to reach people who wouldn’t normally pick up a book , read it and possibly fall in love with it.  I was alarmed to read that a 2005 study showed that 34% of people had never read.  Literacy is linked to job prospects and happiness, so I’m all for anything that gets people reading.

Now The Secret Dreamworld of a Shopaholic is not the usual thing I go for in a book, but it’s a right good read.  I’ve made a promise to pass the book on to someone who doesn’t regularly read.  And that’s where you come in.

If you would like me to send you my copy of The Secret Dreamworld of a Shopaholic when I’m finished with it, please let me know.  You can read it yourself or give it to someone you know who’d like to give it a go.  You just have to promise to pass it on after you’re finished with it.

If you’re interested, please email me at
