On the ‘roadtofindout’ with Ramin Karimloo at the Philharmonic

Ramin’s success and reviews of the 25th anniversary concert of  The Phantom of the Opera at the Royal Albert anniversary concert went before him and I took myself off to see him on the Philharmonic.  The programme of songs for the performance looked familiar, and then I realised that we also sang some of these at our concerts, The Liverpool Male Voice Choir.  He sang a varied programme of stunning new songs from his album alongside some much loved West End favourites including Music of the Night, Some Enchanted Evening from South Pacific and Bring HIm Home from Les Miserables which Ramin is currently starring in.  He brought on his fellow Canadian friend, Alex Gaumond, who sang his new single to be released this month, and Sean Kingsley, his Liverpool friend.  The concert was backed by the Ramin Tour Band, a wonderful orchestra and singers conducted by the Musical Director, David Shrubsole.

This was his first time in Liverpool with his band but I am sure it will not be the last.  The ages ranged from his fans, in the teens, to some even my age and they all gave him the standing ovation he rightly deserved.  Well done Ramin, I will be following your career and look forward to hopefully seeing you in the very near future.  Great, great show.

The philharmonic is bringing only the best to Liverpool!
