We are sailing…………..so set sail with Santa this Christmas.

Why not take a trip to the Liverpool Watersports centre and check out the activities you could take up next year.

I’ve just had a fantastic time sailing at the centre all autumn and I’m still amazed at the number of activities families can take part in, at very reasonable prices.

Power boat trips around the docksides, canoeing, Kayaking, Leeds Liverpool canal safari trips by kayak, dragon boat races, and sailing in a variety of low level craft built for excitment and speed after just a few lessons.

All this can be capped off after a few hours with a delightful coffee, burger, full English breakfast or just a cup of tea seated in the Watersports cafe, right in front of a glamorous waterfront backdrop.

Around the corner, and within walking distance, you will reach the Liverpool Marina or Yacht Club, with its fantastic schooners featuring, a luxury Steven Gerrard schooner or a Shirley Bassey yacht surrounded by other such extravagant floating enterprises. The Yacht Club is another thing well worth an experience,  with its superb menu’s  and ideal for Sunday lunch. Never miss the massive cod and chips with mushy peas!

Sit,  and admire the views and sip your cafe latte and perus your newspapers.

Within a short drive, try the Crosby Marina Watersports centre for a similar experience and enjoy some festive food at their bistro.

But, the ultimate Christmas deal is to join Santa for a magical boat trip and journey to see his enchanting Grotto at the National Waterways Museum, Ellesmere Port. Children will be captivated by a special story read by Santa himself and thrilled to receive an early Christmas present!

Try something different with the family this Christmas.
