Liverpool Pirate Festival – 20th and 21st July 2013
This weekend sees the wonderful Liverpool Pirate Festival taking place once again at the Albert Dock. The dock will be swarming with pirates and buccaneers looking for treasure. The most famous (fictional) pirate Captain Jack Sparrow will be there to meet you and there is a Pirate Treasure Trail leading to the lost treasure of ‘Calico’ Jack Rackham.
There will be a young pirates parade, pirate music and Pirate Sloop and King’s Navy Cutter displays. At 2.30 each day there will be live action cannon battle between the vessels in the dock when the pirate sloop Vilma takes on the privateer brigantine Zebu. The notorious Black Jack Connan will keep you informed about what to see and do around the dock.
You may even see this motley crew singing at the Liverpool Museum at 1.00pm, 2.00pm and 3.00pm.
