Yes, the Horrible Histories are back in Liverpool with tickets selling fast !!!!! at Knowsley Leisure and Culture Park, Longview Drive, Huyton. Tel 0151 443 2200 to book tickets.

Following acclaimed productions of Terrible Tudors, Vile Victorians, Awful Egyptians and Ruthless Romans, Birmingham Stage Company come straight from London’s West End, to Knowsley to present their latest show ‘Horrible Histories’-Barmy Britain, set in loathsome London.

Now then, over the years, my daughter has followed these tours and the last one was at the Floral Hall New Brighton.
We travelled the distance there, and the parking was free but now, the convenience of just down the road, free parking, an exquisite venue and the stage show thrown in at the splendid Knowsley Leisure and Culture Park complex ….well you couldn’t get any better…well yes you can because it’s only £10 children £12 adults.

This show will have the children on the edge of their seats.

The stage shows have rocked audiences throughout the land with their zany humour, catchy ‘audience participating’ songs, and of course not forgetting the cleverness of putting the historical facts over in a memorable and entertaining way to both children and adults.

The Leisure and Culture Park have really got it right with the events they have planned. They are catering for an audience that has long been neglected. Bringing the Philharmonic orchestra and ‘theatre’ for example, to a sports leisure complex on the outskirts of Liverpool is a superb initiative and there needs to be more of it. North Liverpool for example, could well do with a boost! There are some fine gardens, sports arenas and parks in Bootle that could well be placed as a venue for culture. Culture brought to the people, for the people at a reasonable price without the trek to town.

Checkout the Leisure Parks forthcoming events- Super Funky Roller Disco for families and of course, the adults night (bar facilities available) along with the Christmas Pantomime, Jack and the Beanstalk….at a fraction of the price!! (two days are already sold out)
That’s, knowsley Leisure and Culture Park.
