Christmas begins this Friday night in Liverpool at Santa’s Grotto, the Ice Palace and the Lantern Parade.
There is a magical list of events running through Merseyside this week…………. and after a fantastic Friday night’s Sefton Park Lantern Walk of colour, music and firework spectacular to rival none; the thousands of people were well entertained that night and it files into the memory banks of my American friends forever.
On Friday 8th November the Liverpool One giant lantern parade will take place through the streets of Liverpool to launch Christmas at the shopping centre.
All will be accompanied by street performers and colourful entertainment characters.
The parade is brought to you by our popular Sefton Park Halloween event people The Lantern Company.
Don’t miss the atmospheric main event which starts at 5pm, so get there early with that parking space and checkout some of the stores and decorations around Liverpool One.
On your travels you will see The Ice festival which returns to Chavasse Park with the “fun ice slide”, ice skating (my favourite) and Santa’s grotto.
Children will be able to meet Santa and his elves and get a special gift from 7th November. The festival will include plenty of activities to keep younger people entertained including exciting displays and events across the Christmas period so keep tuned in.
There will also be a UK original……this is a pop-up ice bar for parents with all your old cocktail favourites, enough to keep the chill away.
Be there on Friday and have lots of fun.
