Liverpool Pride – Saturday 2nd August 2014

imageThis year marks the fifth anniversary of Liverpool Pride which coincides with the sixth anniversary of the murder of gay teenager Michael Causer. This years theme is a Glam Fairy Tales. Liverpool Pride invites all Princes and Princesses, White Knights and Fairy Godmothers to wear their most flamboyant outfits and join in and support the LGBT culture and community in the campaign for acceptance, equality and freedom.

The day starts with the Liverpool Pride march starting at the St George’s Plateau at 11am. Tributes in remembrance of Michael will take place before the march and also at the waterfront stage at 5.45pm.

Liverpool will be turned into a fairy-tale land around the waterfront stage with activities, bars and events for all the family. A host of stars will be performing here and on the other stages at Stanley Street, Garlands and G-Bar.
