The Secret at Christmas – St George’s Hall until 13 December 2014
‘The Secret at Christmas’ who knows the answer. Well the scientists Dr When, Dr How and Dr What will take you down to the marvellous catacombs of St George’s Hall and show you, through a 90 minute walk-through, what the traditions and festivities of Christmas are and where and when they came from. They will perform experiments to see why Christmas is so exciting and special.
The 300 volunteers of ‘In Another Place’ that brought the ‘Narnia Experience’ to St George’s Hall, have again successfully transformed the atmospheric catacombs to a winter wonderland. The actors and helpers have pulled out all the stops to make this interactive experience become relative and thought provoking.
There are so many different Christmas pantos, grottos and events taking place over the Christmas period but this one is different, it is atmospheric and leaves you with a warm glow inside at the end, although you need to wrap up on the outside as it is authentic winter temperatures in the Catacombs.
Well done to all involved for their hard work they have put in. This event is for all ages, with schools visiting Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, opening to the public is Friday and Saturday with tours every 15 minutes from 6pm and 8pm.
